June 13th, 2008

The 77's are very excited to have acquired from the Toronto Canada Moose, their first round selection from this year's draft, F Garrett Davies in exchange for future considerations.

Davies, from the Goulding Park Rangers J AAA, is a gritty and talented 20 year old veteran with a nose for the net.  Big things will be expected from him to stabilize a young lineup and provide the much needed leadership and experience as we continue to move forward.

Welcome aboard Garrett!

The 77's are excited to announce the acquisition of defenceman Richard Blais from the Innisfil Lakers in exchange for the 8th, 9th and 10th round picks in the 2008 entry draft.

A native of Markham, Richard will be looked to to provide experience and leadership for our young organization.  This steady and proven player can effectively play both ends of the ice and can be utilized in every situation.  We expect big things from this 20 year old as we move forward and develop this program into a winning organization.

The 77's Acquire 'Family' on Draft Day
June 8th, 2008

The 77's acquire the Bradford Rattlers first round selection 12th overall in this year's draft, F David Tagrooyan in exchange for the 77's first round pick in 2009.

The 77's also acquire the King Wild's 2nd round pick, 20th overall in this year's draft, F Arthur Ketchdjian in exchange for the 77's second round pick in 2009.

Arthur, along with his brother and 77's first round selection, Harout Keshisian, attended this year's draft showcase with their cousin, David.  The three travelled together from California and due to their performance, it was not hard to figure out that these three have played together for many years. They impressed and performed remarkably well in all aspects of their game and the 77's are very excited to have them as a part of our 'family'.  Congratulations to you three and welcome aboard!

The 77's Make Their First Move
June 6th, 2008

The 77's are excited to announce the acquisitions of forwards Mike Wilkinson and Thomas Kingston from the Brock Bucks for a 6th Round Pick in 2009 and Future Considerations.

Wilkinson, a native of Barrie, will be entering his third year in the GMHL.  This past season, although known for his grit and tenacity, he blossomed into an offensive talent and put up some impressive numbers after his trade from South Muskoka.  He will be looked to do the same as a member of the 77's.

Kingston, a native of Owen Sound, proved himself in his first season last year as an offensively gifted player with good speed and scoring touch.  We are hopeful that he can continue right where he left off last season and can produce as good or better numbers with the 77's.
