Jr A Hockey season in the Oro Medonte starts tonight at the Guthrie Arena when the (2-5)Brock Bucks come to town to take on the home town (0-3)Oro Medonte 77's.

Oro has gotten off to a slow start while being on the road. The lack of available ice time at the beginning of the season has prevented the coaching staff from fully preparing the boys like they had hoped. But do not let the slow start fool you, this team will be good, starting with the last line of defence, the goalies. Oro is rock solid in net with 2 outstanding imports, #1 Marco Repitsch from Innseuck Austria and #30 Peter Veselovsky from Bratislava Slovakia. When the 77's work out the bugs and start playing to their potential you can be assured either one of these teriffic athletes will steal the close games.

Returning Forwards #2 Alex Rigby Bracebridge and #21 Morgan Didsbury Gravenhurst #67 Alex Busvek Delaware have something to prove this year and will be pushed by the coaching staff to score and provide high energy on the ice.

Forwards #9 Nick D' Avolio North RiverSide IL, #19 Steve Lee St. Louis Mo, #91 Myles Neuneker St. Charles IL, and #55 Ryan Walter White Rock BC will be counted on to provide scoring punch.   

The 77's are also stacked with local talent such as Forwards #7 Evan Cummings, #6 Jason Leigh and #87 Scott Pybus from Oro Medonte, D-man #11 Mackenzie Koopman and Forward #16 Sylvester Spencer from Barrie, and D-men #47 Mike Telford and #4 Reid Goobie from Orillia and #77 Ryan Cook of Barrie.

This team has size and speed and the management are predicting the Oro Medonte 77's will be the team to be feared in the very near future.
